Moonshadow
Owls in the Moonshadow flock tend towards the quiet side, and even towards solitude, though they still organize when necessary for their flock. A contemplative group of scholars, thinkers, and those who love wisdom, they aim most of their studies at the supernatural forces of Elaphus Tyton, including both Cerviformes and Angra Mainyu. They are led by an elected pair of owls, though these owls are not necessarily mated; the Regent and Baroness are elected, not by the flock at large, but by a small group of Viziers, who are usually chosen from among the oldest of the population, though sometimes a younger owl may be put forward.
The Brightquill Legion
For night-dwellers, these owls are surprisingly vivacious. Though their title is military, their ranks are quite varied; they have many ferocious warriors, but they also have poets, air-dancers, and, of course, singers. The Brightquill owls are famous for their singing, whether it's harmonizing over a new Angra Mainyu pair or providing a frightening chant for their forces in battle. They have a full arrangement of military ranks, and the Caliph is usually the strongest, fiercest, or most charismatic owl. He or she can and often is overthrown at an older age by a young upstart within the ranks.
The Screech
The Screech don't call themselves The Screech, and don't let Strega Scura hear you using that term. She prefers The Rebels. But this group is a fairly new formation, and the title their enemies gave them--when not calling them "The Soulless," simply stuck. Founded by Strega Scura, The Screech is the first group dedicated to wiping out the perversion of unnatural bonding between species, known as Angra Mainyu throughout the land. Strega is currently still powerful enough to hold way over the group without much structured administration, and is known only as The Leader, though it is expected that one of her children will take her place when--some whisper "if"--she dies. All members of The Screech are expected to be ready and willing to participate in battle, and so the main ranking system is that of her complicated network of spies, sentries, and scouts.
